1. Visa on Arrival (VoA) for Indians:
Eligibility: Indian passport holders can apply for a Visa on Arrival if they plan to stay in Thailand for up to 15 days.
Application Process:
The VoA can be obtained at certain designated immigration checkpoints in Thailand.
You will need to fill out a form, provide a passport-sized photo, and pay the visa fee (approximately 2,000 THB - Rs 4,995).
Required Documents:
A passport with at least 6 months of validity.
A confirmed return ticket showing departure within 15 days of entry.
Proof of accommodation (hotel bookings or an address in Thailand).
Proof of sufficient funds (10,000 THB -Rs 25,000 per person or 20,000 THB - Rs 50,000 per family).
Extension: The VoA cannot be extended beyond 15 days.
2. E-Visa on Arrival (eVoA):
Indian travelers can also apply for an eVisa on Arrival before traveling to Thailand to avoid queues at the airport.
The process is online, and once approved, travelers receive an approval letter that they can present upon arrival.
The application can be submitted online through the Thailand eVisa on Arrival system.
3. Regular Tourist Visa:
For those planning to stay longer than 15 days, a regular Tourist Visa is recommended.
Duration: Valid for 60 days, with the possibility of a 30-day extension while in Thailand.
Application Process:
Apply at the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your home country.
Required Documents:
Completed visa application form.
Passport with at least 6 months of validity.
A confirmed return ticket.
Proof of accommodation.
Proof of sufficient funds.
Visa fee (varies by embassy, typically around ₹2,500 - ₹3,000).
